PIES, or the Peoples’ Institute for the Enlightenment of Society, is building a financial institution and an investing platform designed to support a solar-punk economy. This platform, and the economy that it supports, is called the PIES Economy.
Our designs are grounded in research, education, and advocacy to break us out of toxic economic cycles and secure your economic rights. Our plans don’t require any new laws or regulations. What we need is you.

We’re not asking for any money today. Instead, we’re inviting you to share your intent to invest in the businesses that make up the PIES Economy when it opens. Your pledge helps us demonstrate that we have people-power on our side.

To Raise Money
To build the platform, we’ll need investments from the very industry we’re trying to disrupt. While we’re only seeking investors that share our values, they’ll still need proof that our disruption is wanted.
To Find Partners
The point of the PIES Economy is to grow businesses that value your values. To do that, we have to find such businesses and prove to them that we can help them grow.
To Recruit Scholars
There’s power in numbers, but also safety and comfort. When we’re able to, we’ll broadcast the total pledges to help other potential scholars feel confident about joining.
